Letstalkclimateaction.ca letting Canadians help build our national climate change plan

The federal government and the promises required input from Canadians everywhere to inform the first ever pan-Canadian plan on climate change.

Canadians from all provinces and territories and from all demographics were targeted for this online consultation.

Under tight deadlines, PubliVate delivered a custom online ideation platform to host the national dialogue, launched by the Prime Minister on Earth Day, April 22, 2016.

Given the tight timeline, PubliVate initiated two key activities at the outset of the engagement. First, it modified and condensed its Kickoff Workshop program. Second, it augmented and accelerated its agile development approach. “Stripping” down to the base elements necessary for an immovable launch date immediately allowed for a successful launch.

Thousands of Canadians submitted their ideas and solutions

During the consultation, over 4,000 participants came together to help build the national climate change plan. The ideation platform generated 3,426 ideas, 10,177 suggested improvements to ideas, and 15,237 idea views.

What Participants said:

"...one thing is sure. The process & outcomes of #CANClimateAction framework will be reviewed/used by many other nations. a model!"
"...We can, we must, we will act to end the climate crisis. Make the Paris commitment a reality..."
"Two thumbs way up for Liberal government’s “Let’s Talk Climate Action” website"
